i've been suffering from a really bad cold, with flu-type symptoms, for almost a week now.
very unusual for me.. it couldn't have come at a worse time, as i've just started working as a self-employed person, working outdoors in all weathers.
no sick pay, so no money coming in.. i expect that i'll be ok for monday, though.. i'm right in the middle of making a homemade lamb curry.
A really hot curry and go to bed with a drink of hot milk, sugar and whiskey.
i remember when i was going to the meetings there were questions that i had which i could never get good answers too.
just one of them i had was how to explain how you knew if you were one of the one hundred and forty four thousand.
i remember trying to explain this to one of my work friends and the reasoning of you just know, like you know if u are a boy or girl sounded stupid to him.

I am English but a Spanish wannabe.
my mil, who is part of a portuguese speaking congregation, told my wife that they began giving everyone an english copy of the internal study version of the wt along with their portuguese copy.
she's worried because she thinks they are planing to eventually move them to an english congregation, like they have done with other languages in the area already.
i think there might be a real lack of brothers to take the lead in these foreign congs and the ones they do have are aging rapidly.
If the Portuguese people can speak English why do they need their own language cong?
What is so wrong with them going to an ordinary English speaking one? I am sure if I had gone to a Spanish cong in Spain instead of the English one we would have learned Spanish much more quickly and integrated faster and better into the country.

No, they will only feel ashamed if the GB says they ought. If the GB is silent on the matter then it is ok or a conscience matter.
